How the Bufala Mozzarella Made Me Whole
The reason I went on a shopping trip with my best friend that day was primarily because I wanted to cheer her up. Just hours before we decided to hit the store, she came storming into my room, ranting about her now ex-boyfriend. She told me in between rage how she broke up with him. I was half listening to whatever she was saying, thinking of something we could do together to cheer her up. Not that I cared really, because I know that she probably may have broken up with five boyfriends just for this month. Needless to say, after she was able to vent out, I grabbed my bag – and my best friend, and brought her to the market.
Someone gave me a tip tha a new gourmet hop just opened near the fruits and the veggie area. Because I wanted to know what you can buy from there, I brought my best friend to the store to see what we can get for dinner. And then a Bufala Mozzarella Cheese was what I first saw the moment I got in. I then wondered how it could possibly taste like. This cheese stirred the interest in me, and just as always, I bought it just to know how it tastes like. With the help of the store’s personnel, I found out what will go best with it.
I was quite amused in the way the store personnel talked to me about this cheese. And mind you, I can’t seem to deny the fact that he looked very charming and that he looked a lot like an Italian. And do you know that there is something about Italians that seem to captivate me? I didn’t realize that my best friend noticed the chemistry between us. And because she knows how dumb I am when it comes to boys, she made sure that the guy gets my number. The next thing I knew, I was walking home with my best friend, with a huge and awkward smile on my face.
It was not until when we came right to the kitchen when she started talking about “the guy”. She found out that he came fresh from Italy, and that he owns the small gourmet shop. The Bufala Mozzarella cheese I bought was his favorite among all the other kinds of cheeses, she said. We used it as a topping for grilled eggplant, zucchini that was first marinated in olive oil and garlic. We topped it with the cheese and roasted peppers. Very delicious!
It was later that night when I got a call from the guy. We were on the phone a lot longer than I thought, just like teenagers. And so they say that the rest is history. Now, I am married to him, and we are blessed with two wonderful kids. Truth of the matter is, I certainly have the Bufala Mozzarella Cheese to thank for. Go ahead and try this cheese today.
